Hey! So here’s the deal: I love the Sabres. I have loved them my entire life. It is in my genes, and there’s nothing I can do about. However, while I’ve always loved the Sabres, I wasn’t always aware that there were other teams, and different, non-Sabres players, out there in the NHL. Around February of ’07, I discovered what it truly means to be a hockey fan. I discovered what teams and players I hate, and I discovered what teams and players I loved – aside from the Buffalo Sabres. Namely, the Washington Capitals, and a man by the name of Alex Ovechkin.
I know, I know. It’s the offseason. Why blog about hockey in the offseason? Well, I’ve been spending a lot of time lately reading other blogs, and I decided I might as well give it a try. Who knows how long this will survive. While I’ve always enjoyed success in various writing activities, I’ve never tried blogging, so this whole thing might crash and burn. I’m still figuring out how to add pictures and categorize things, so please, Dear Readers, be patient. As I wile away the summer hours, procrastinating summer reading (Bigger Thomas, you are a stupid asshat. Go die.), I might discuss any changes the teams have been making, and I might rate the hotness of different players. Maybe it’ll take off once the season starts, and I’ll be swamped with readers trying to escape Bucky Gleason in search of nicer game analysis. You’ll just have to stay tuned to find out!
