65 Reasons I Love A.M.O.: #8 The Hardware He Didn’t Take Home

Everyone knows how Dearest Ovie kinda owned the NHL Awards this year.  Hell, he even got the key to Washington, D.C.  But you might not have realized is that while he is proud of his accomplishments, Alex still would have traded them all in for a slightly bigger trophy.

I should mention now that I think the Capitals’ owner has a slight man-crush on Ovie.  It’s actually rather obvious.  Due to the man-crush, Ted likes to mention at every possible opportunity the exchange he and Ovie had on the flight back from the awards.  You can trust me on this, since I’ve heard it like eight thousand times.  Apparently, as they were cruising along, Ovie told Ted that he would have traded in all the awards he won if it meant the Capitals would win the Stanley Cup.

And that, my Dear Readers, is a Team Player.
