• Pens won last night, whatevs.  Same thing happened last year, and I really don’t see them coming out of this series the winners.  Yes, I get it, Pittsburgh came back after being down two games to Washington.  I already said this, but I’ll say it again: The Washington Capitals are very different from the Detroit Red Wings.
• Last night there were six Penguins on the ice right in front of the official and no one noticed.  It really bugged me.  But it was kind of funny how the crowd got all quiet so the refs wouldn’t notice.
• Henrik Zetterberg is very good at shutting Sidney Crosby down.  In fact, Henrik Zetterberg is very good at hockey, and he looks like Jake Gyllenhaal, which makes you pretty darn close to perfect in my book.  I have fantasies in which he and Lars bond in Sweden during the summer and Henrik has those deep, insightful talks with Lars that cover all the things he needs to know to be a man.
• Alexander will be participating in a poker tournament in Vegas.  Please, hockey gods, let this be as hilarious as it has the potential to be.
• The above is a good thing because the next two weeks of my life suck.  I hate the end of the school year.  Seriously teachers, giving us two finals in one class is SO STUPID.  We get that you so thoroughly enjoy testing us, but really?  We’re going to be sitting in a hot gym (or air-conditioned classroom, ha!) for two to three hours very soon, just put our material all on that.  Don’t give us an out of school final and an in school one.
• My piece of crap phone is still dying.  Today it turned off twice when I was making a call.  End of school = new phone.  Wee!
• A Sabre whose last name I can’t remember how to spell and therefore am not writing signed with Russia.  I really don’t care.  I want good centers.  Not centers who spend their time up in Portland.
• If you happen to be in high school and you’re reading this, just a tip: if you read the New York Times, that’s awesome, but if you tell us that in a smug, douchebag-y manner every single day, it will not endear you to any of us.
• I kind of miss the Sabres.  And I’m already worried that they won’t make the playoffs this year.
